About

Amokura Kapa Haka

Project 2013-05-16 01:45:03 +1200

Amokura Kapa Haka - a rangatahi kapa haka group have been invited by the government of Rarotonga to travel and perform there for the 2013 annual Te Maeva Nui Festival.

There are 19 rangatahi aged between 10 and 19yrs of age. They come from many different Christchurch Schools.

Flying to Rarotonga is not cheap - however, the group has done a huge amount of fundraising already but require some more to assist with accommodation and transport. the performer's airfares are paid...YAY.

We leave on July 25 and return August 1.

Your help and support will allow these talented young people to travel and be awesome ambassadors for Maori, for Christchurch and for New Zealand.

We plan to hold a couple of live concerts before we leave so watch Facebook!!
