Garden City 2.0 and Renew Brighton have teamed up to bring together the people and organisations who can or are already contributing to a future of food abundance for the Eastern Suburbs of Christchurch.

To begin with we’re calling this mission
F:East, or ‘Food: East’, and we’re kick-starting it with a Local Food Week hosted in Aranui and New Brighton.

We’re inviting local schools, foodies, foragers & gardeners, community gardens and many more folks to map out and celebrate the wealth of local food potential in the area.

We’re stretched too thin to do justice to the crucial work of capturing the amazing story of what was, what is, and what will be, but we absolutely must do this!

This campaign will help a budding young film-maker (who made the promo clip above!) to come on-board for this epic journey and document the week and its participants. We need $2000 to fund their time.

Please help us to help this beautiful part of our broken city to realise this potential emerging everywhere!
