About

The F.E.U.C. - Short Film

Project 2012-02-27 09:05:43 +1300

We are trying to raise some money for post production so I can finish my debut short, The F.E.U.C- The Four Eyes United Club, co-produced by Fleet St. It's a love story for fashionistas, for fashionista-haters, for my ma and my pa and for YOU!

This film was inspired by a rather heated article I once read in a Frankie mag by an Australian Fella, Justin Heazlewood- "You have nothing to lose but your 20/20 Vision".

Some wonderful people involved in this project include: David Van Horn who plays the once teased but now incredibly 'hip' Seymour, Roko Babich as DOP, Andrew Keoghan provides the sweet tunes, Abigail Greenwood who helped me with both onset direction and general production design and Alex Gandar the 1st (AD). A special thanks to Moe and Morgan from The Filth Collective and Fleet St Crew for on -going wrangling and 'just everything' support.

Shout- outs (Yes, Waikato- styled- shout- outs) to Emily and Eleisha from RUBY for dressing Nicolette and Liam from TOPMAN for dressing Seymour!

Pledge away if it amuses and you would like to be involved...or be a member of The F.E.U.C. (two-eyes allowed just this once!) And remember: "Love can simply overcome anything: liars, fashionistas and really, really quite terribly shitty eye sight".

Thank you so very much!

G'day you pledging legends!

How awesome are you. Seriously.

It's the final countdown- we are so darn close thanks to you.

If you still would like to pledge- you still can! Hurray, you may say!

Here we encourage (not beg):

Update no.2 - The F.E.U.C: Only 14 days to go!

20/03/2012 at 6:10 AM

Howdy!

Your pledges are warming the cockles in our little F.E.U.Cing hearts, let us tell you! Thank you, you pledging champions! Bless your cotton/synthetic socks!

I would like to take this time in Update no.2 to mention Andrew Keoghan, who provides the sound track for The F.E.U.C. He was also very kind in letting us shoot at his gig last year at Q Theatre. We had this window between sound check and doors opening where we quickly shot as much as we could and then a little more during the actual show. (Thanks Q Theatre).

Here is Mr Keoghan's video www.youtu.be/79Q8GxRGeKk He has another one coming out in the next few weeks, so look out for it!

AND he is up for the Taite music prize as well, clever boy!

www.nzherald.co.nz/taite-music-prize/news/article.cfm?c_id=1503048&objectid=10790445

You can listen to his whole album here www.andrewkeoghan.bandcamp.com/album/arctic-tales-divide

If you pledge, you can get downloadable songs or even the album(!) from A Keoghz. Awesome!

Nice segway back in to this 'pledging' business...

So, for those who are not familiar with PledgeMe, it is a new crowd funding scheme (as there are very few funding bodies in NZ to actually factually make things) where you pledge and if we reach the goal that we have set (in our case $3,000) then we can put that toward our project. If we DO NOT reach that goal- even if we reach $2,500- we don't get it. We don't see a cent. So please, if you can spare a few dollars- (NB- poor artist friends, how about you just share the link around?) please do. I know it is another bloody username and password, but a few minutes of your time and coinage is hugely appreciated by us at TEAM F.E.U.C.

Here is a sneak peek at the professionalism and serious times we had behind the scenes: UPDATE NO. 2 http://vimeo.com/38828253

Enjoy!

Until next time,

Hello!

First and foremost we, The FEUC and friends, would like thank all of you wonderful people that have already pledged to help finish this fun film! With your support, and continued efforts to share the pledge page with your friends and family – we can reach our goal!

Check out the attached video, entitled: "While the flatmates are sleeping, Aidee explains how The F.E.U.C can bring estranged family members back in to your life..."

We’d just like to take a minute The FEUC’s production partner Fleetst. Roko Babich, their head honcho and The Director of Photography on The FEUC has this to say about Fleetst:

“We are a production company that supports up and coming directors writers and producers who have great concepts but no equipment, contacts, or money.

We utilise our networks, experience and gear to help these artists bring their ideas to life.

The FEUC is exactly the type of project that we like to get behind, a simple but creative concept by an amazing motivated writer/director (Aidee!).

We have 6 or so films that Fleetst have helped create over the last 6 months that will screen in our upcoming biannual screenings in May.

Aidee, Fleetst and the fine folk at The Filth Collective made this film as a labour of love with no financial assistance so please help us take this film to the next level.”

We’d also like to say a huge thanks to Ruby Boutique and their new label Liam for supporting us in all kinds of fabulous ways.
