Hi my name is Kieran; I am an Invercargill local looking at bringing radical change and colour to our city. This is my plan I will be executing under the group A Street Artist Project.

I want to extend a warm and welcoming hand to you the public.

After a lot of hard work, going back to the drawing board numerous times, coming up against not just literal brick walls, it is with great pleasure to announce Melbourne based Expat Jason Parker to the team and to Invercargill to paint a whopping 10x14㎡ wall on Spey Street in early 2018. His presence and capabilities unleashed in Invercargill will open up a conversation, stir a buzz, and surely inject inspiration for a future invigorating and vibrant Invercargill

Jason Parker is a fine artist/mural artist from New Zealand living in Melbourne Australia. Painting visual metaphor-type portraits and scenarios. His work is designed to be ambiguously evocative and emotive, rendering the spirit, states of consciousness, and capturing the moments in-between. Feelings that language fails to capture. Working from his studio at Juddy Roller in Fitzroy, his work takes him from the confines of his studio, into the galleries and out onto the streets where he can be found painting large scale murals. I have included a few examples of his art work and an example of mine.

The piece we have come up with is a image of a girl with one hand up covering her face from the sun this signifies a future too bright and that there is more to come/to be expected. Jason will be adding his own abstract touch to this piece and it will really stand out and make a huge impact on Invercargill's skyline.

As well as this massive wall being done Jason and i have come up with the idea of giving back to the community instantly by continuing the movement straight away. While he is here he will also be undertaking a 3x3metre wall at another location in the city which will be a vocal point in continuing the conversation surrounding street murals and integration of Art in the CBD. I myself will also be executing a 3x3metre wall mural. You, the public will have the opportunity to pledge for this private wall piece. You can find this under our rewards.

Picasso's dream Kieran Burtenshaw
As well as this funding initiative we have 100 signed prints available for you to own. They are special one off prints by Kieran(Artist, curator of this project) and Jason (fine artist melbourne) You can find these under our rewards.

As well as these we have available smaller pledge amounts starting from $10. These are important and cannot go overlooked. You will permanently have a part of yourself intertwined into this mural and your donations will be appreciated to the highest degree. Every little bit helps. And if you do wish to pledge anything at all we will be humbled and honoured that you are apart of this community project, allowing you a permanent place in the future of Invercargill.

Any funds raised over our goal will be put towards the next wall.

We appreciate all your support.
Thank you so much.

Kieran and Jase.
