We're hittin' the road this winter...
Team PledgeMe are road tripping from Invercargill to Kerikeri this winter. We’re doing this to talk shop in all the regions about how companies and organisations can raise funds to grow through equity crowdfunding and crowdlending.
Earlier this year we started CrowdfundingU, which is a six-session programme to helps companies ready themselves to raise capital through their crowds. So to kick the winter semester off we’re bringing the first of these sessions to Timaru…
There's a catch for us to come to your town...
We’re going where our crowd is, meaning we’ve set a minimum goal in how many tickets we need to sell in your region to order lock in this stop. We need a minimum of 20 tickets sold prior to for us to be able to lock in the venue and travel costs.
What are we going to talk about?...
In this session, we’re going to run you through the background of exactly what crowdfunding is. We’ll outline the similarities and differences between the major types of crowdfunding and identify what each means to you as an entrepreneur (hint: the range is dating — to civil union — to full on marriage).
Tickets are $20 each (the normal session price for this CrowdfundingU session is $150).
The event details are:
- Location: Vetta Technologies, Top floor of the Oxford Building, Cnr Stafford & George Streets, Timaru.
- Doors open 5:30pm
- Event kicks off at 6:00pm
- Networking afterwards at the bar below the venue (from 7:30pm).
What can you do?
The first thing you can do is the easiest, buy a ticket (by pledging on the right hand side of this page -->) and join us for the night.

Thanks again for coming along last week. During our road trip, we presented to over 200 people across 7 locations, and had a blast meeting you all. We can't wait to get a few more campaigns through from down south.
