We're hittin' the road this winter...
Team PledgeMe are road tripping from Invercargill to Kerikeri this winter. We’re doing this to talk shop in all the regions about how companies and organisations can raise funds to grow through equity crowdfunding and crowdlending.
Earlier this year we started CrowdfundingU, which is a six-session programme to helps companies ready themselves to raise capital through their crowds. So to kick the winter semester off we’re bringing the first of these sessions to Queenstown…
There's a catch for us to come to your town...
We’re going where our crowd is, meaning we’ve set a minimum goal in how many tickets we need to sell in your region to order lock in this stop. We need a minimum of 20 tickets sold prior to for us to be able to lock in the venue and travel costs.
What are we going to talk about?...
In this session, we’re going to run you through the background of exactly what crowdfunding is. We’ll outline the similarities and differences between the major types of crowdfunding and identify what each means to you as an entrepreneur (hint: the range is dating — to civil union — to full on marriage).
Tickets are $20 each (the normal session price for this CrowdfundingU session is $150).
The event details are:
- Queenstown Resort College
- Doors open 5:30pm
- Event kicks off at 6:00pm
- Potential for an ad-hoc networking session around 7:30pm (location TBD)
What can you do?
The first thing you can do is the easiest, buy a ticket (by pledging on the right hand side of this page -->) and join us for the night.
Now, who else do you know who might be interested? Let 'em know by sharing this campaign directly with them (and while you’re at it, you could give us a share on your favourite social media channels!)

Hey Queenstownians!
We're looking forward to meeting you all next week. So much so, I've booked our flights in the belief that we can get this puppy over the line! We can, right? I've got me, my Chairman (the lovely Nick Lewis) and our designer Kelsey all coming down to CrowdfundingU with you.
Since we're down to the final countdown and not quite there yet, we're going to extend this campaign to Sunday night to give us maximum time to get funded. Any help sharing the word (I know a bunch of you already are, thank you!) is super appreciated. I will bring all you promoters a special PledgeMe badge of thanks.
Another big thanks of course needs to go out to AJ from Innovation Queenstown for helping to sort us out with our venue, Queenstown Resort College. We'll be welcoming folk from 5:30pm, with a formal(ish) kick off at 6pm. If you could bring laptops, that'd be rad, as I'm going to get you typing while we go.
