About

Insulate And Heat Low Income Family Homes

Project 2015-10-14 09:37:38 +1300

The goal here is to help put up to 20 Heat pumps for familes. Some may need more than per home.

I have been visiting homes in the Auckland area and assisting them to help Insulate and heat their home. Alot of families do not qualify for FREE insulation or the Retrofit program due to not meeting the criteria or have credit issues.

Alot of families with young children and elderly live in homes that are badly built and have mould, dampness and genarally cold. These same families are regular visitors to the doctors or hopsitals.

I want to assist the families that need help and have no where to turn to improve the quality of life.

WHY INSULATE?

An insulated home; warmer, drier, healthier and more economical.

Insulating your home is the most effective thing you can do to keep your home comfortable and healthy, and to save energy and money.

A well-insulated home provides year-round comfort; it is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. An insulated home is a drier, healthier home.

Around 35% of the energy used in the average New Zealand household goes on heating your home. If your home doesn't have adequate insulation, a lot of your energy spend is wasted as the heat escapes.

All Insulation has been independently assessed by Asthma New Zealand and accepted into their Breathe Easy programme - as a product considered safer for New Zealanders living with Asthma.

HEATING.

Advantages of an air-to-air heat pump include: it is very efficient at converting energy to heat (optimum efficiency is when the difference between source and supply temperatures is very small) it provides a medium to fast source of heat. it has the ability to provide heating and cooling.

Auckland has the largest population and also the most badly affected homes.

Lest help these low income families.
