Car Replacement *formerly Melbourne

Project 2015-08-26 12:37:38 +1200

UPDATE Instead of going to the wonderful ROKC conference as planned I have to replace my car. My sweet husband had a terrible car accident (he is fine, thank the gods) but our car is gone burger. Along with losing his brother months ago he now feels guilty for losing our car. We only had third party insurance. With two small children, one who attends school three suburbs away and the other starting school in the city next week a car is vital.  If we can replace the car without getting into debt there may be a chance I can still go to Melbourne. If I can't I will still be giving a talk on Freedom Of Information Act Requests.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us over the last few days with your moral support and everything else. I am so grateful to have such great friends.

UPDATE ENDS

While the ROKC conference is going full steam, I didn't consider how I would get there myself to host the conference. Ticket sales will (fingers crossed) cover the conference room, the generous loan we got for equipment, advertising and other costs associated with the event. Embarrassingly enough, I have to admit I haven't considered how I would get there myself.

After the sad time we have had this year (A sudden death in the family) I have just realised that November is crazy close and I haven't thought much about how we were going to get there at all. I am asking you if you can please help a sister out.

The amount in this Pledgeme campaign is a low estimate of how much our flights would cost. Pledgeme will not pay out funds if the campaign doesn't reach it's target.
Any pledges over the target will be used to pay for the conference and other projects which will benefit the community as a whole. (Freedom of Information Act Requests etc).

Thank you so much for reading and considering my request for your help.
Frankie.
