"We want to make keyrings a thing of the past". Honestly, they’re such a pain. They are always messy, cluttered, disorganised, and are so bulky!

So, we set out to bring about change, and solve those problems. We entered the Young Enterprise Scheme earlier this year, which helped us get up off the ground and get our business started.

Who Are We?

I am Jacques

The Finance guy

I’ve always been interested and have a passion for business, even when I was 10 years old, I was importing small electronics, such as headphones and music players, and selling them online, and later started a small venture in the clothing business. At Northcote College, I am in Year 11, I take the following options: Digital Creative technologies, Economics, and French, as I want to pursue a career somewhere in the Business / Finance sector or entrepreneurship internationally.

I am David

The Marketing man

I thoroughly enjoy being an entrepreneur and being able to work closely with my own ideas along with Jacques'. I have always thought about becoming my own boss since a young age and since I’ve met Jacques we have both been able to make some of our goals come true. I have a passion for Photography, Architecture and I quite enjoy Stand Up Comedy too. I would one day like to pursue my future towards those areas. At Northcote College, I am in Year 11. I’m currently taking: Graphics, Art Design and Drama which will all help me become a better at what I do and to help me build my confidence in those areas.

We’re backed by awesome people

Simon Condon

Commerce Head of Department, Northcote College

Also Northcote College’s Young Enterprise Coordinator. Simon's been helping our business get through the development stages when beginning our business, our Dragon’s Den pitch, and always been incredibly supportive throughout our business venture this year.

Sam Kerse

Our Business Mentor

Also a young entrepreneur, he founded Notifr.com in early 2015, a fantastic piece of software that will revolutionise the way you get feedback for classrooms. His in-depth knowledge of business practices and infrastructures are helping us along our journey to success.

  • In a choice of 10 colours

  • Made from the Highest Quality Materials
  • Manufactured in New Zealand

We have a range of colours available to fit anyone’s taste or style

What does this mean for us?

Reaching our goal of $4,000 will allow us to take production outside of the school workshop, and even keep manufacturing in New Zealand. We'll be able to produce an even higher quality Pokey and achieve our goals.

We're young kiwis ready to take on the world, and we want you to join the journey! With the help of Pledgeme, and your support, we know we can make that happen. Pledgeme is a different and innovative way of getting ideas out there - it's the perfect platform to change the world, one keyring at a time!

"Do you do branded Pokey's?"

- "Hell yeah we do!"

We’re able to engrave your business’s logo or employee's names into any colour PoKey that we have available! Check out the PoKey Business Package, or email us at [email protected], and we’ll start the PoKey revolution within your company!

Q: Which colours do we have available?

A: Black, Light Blue, Blue/Purple, Clear, Fluorescent Yellow/green, Orange, Fluorescent Pink, Red, White, as well as the limited edition chrome PoKey (limited to 20).

Q: How many Keys can a PoKey hold?
A: In the Box, the Pokey has 2 body pieces, 2 male screw heads, 2 corresponding screws, 2 spring washers, 2 extender bolts, and 4 rubber o-rings. With the help of the o-rings and the extender bolts, the PoKey is able to be configured to hold 2 to 12 keys.

Q: What is the PoKey made of?

A: The PoKey is made with various materials, the body pieces are made of superior quality acrylic plastic, from one of the world's leading acrylic plastic manufacturers, the screws are made of nickel plated brass, and are precision milled here in New Zealand.

Q: How do I hold big keys? such as car keys?

A: We have incorporated two holes into the corners of each body piece, that enable you to attach a split keyring, to then attach your larger keys.
