New to pledgeme? It's easy!

Just review the rewards on offer & pledge some cash to get them.

This is a govt approved crowd funding site & your debt card or credit card details are safe.

They only take the money out once the funing goal is achieved so it doesnt even have to be payday when you pledge :-)

Do you or someone you know follow a special diet for medical reasons such as?

  • Gluten Free
  • Diabetic
  • Cancer diets
  • FODMAP
  • Intolerant Dairy, Soy, wheat, yeast + others
  • Anaphylactic to Egg, Nuts, sulphates, Soy, fish + others
  • Diet for candida
  • Cardiac diet
  • Renal diet
  • Pregnancy / nursing diet

Or follow a personal choice diet such as?

  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Paleo
  • Organic
  • Free Range
  • Real food diet - Unprocessed Additive free - colours preservatives MSG etc
  • Raw food diet
  • Low carb
  • Low Salt
  • Low fat

Loaded Spud has been something in the back of my mind for 3 years, an itch I had to scratch, something I felt in my bones that needed to happen.

So what is it? .... Loaded Spud is a mobile food service that is proactive in catering to customers with dietary needs serving healthy, additive free, honest food. That means no MSG no numbers to preservitives or any thing else nasty.

From a young age I have always lived by the philosophy, “be the change you wish to see in the world”. As someone who suffers from coeliac disease, AND follows a range of other medical diets including FODMAP, Soy, MSG & emulsifier free.

The changes I desperately want to see in the world are OPTIONS in the fast food industry for the many people out there like me who are struggling to find safe ways to feed themselves or their family in this modern day busy world.

What shocks me is since 2002 any packaged food sold in NZ has to meet labeling laws that require nutritional information & allergenic food to be stated on labels. Surprisingly as yet there is no regulation for establishments such as restaurants, cafes & fast food stores to label their meals. [ministry for primary industries]

Others who follow medical diets can identify with me when I say although many establishments offer options for diet issues such as GF, the incidences of cross contamination through poor food handling practices, language barriers & general staff ignorance is very high!

Well I dont think it's good enough! I think its time for a movement in the industry towards change for the better for people who follow special diets, and I'm going to make a start on that movement!

My food trailer will opperate with a simple system & provide menu options where condiments that are usually rich in allergens, gastric irritants, salt & sugar instead are designed instead “dietary needs friendly”.

The menu will be fully labeled making it easy for customers with medical diet needs to eat out with a much higher than usual emphasis on food safety such as food allergies, coeliac disease etc.

The menu as the name suggests is based on the humble potato that we kiwis have had a love affair with for generations.

Effectively you choose either a Baked Potato or a Salad option and YOU THE CUSTOMER design your own meal with any combination of ingredients you want.

Just use our tick box menu to choose the toppings, seasonings & sauces that you like OR are medically allowed to eat. It’s all about your tastes, NOT someone else’s designed menu!

Tag someone you know who follows a special diet in on our Facebook page to help gain support for this project NZLOADEDSPUD -Trust me they want to know about it!

Hassel any business owners you know to sign up for our corporate shout out reward.

Don’t forget to follow us on twitter as well www.twitter.com/LoadedSpud

TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!!!

If you or someone you know is frustrated by the small amount of options available on the fast food market today, pledge today to help me get Loaded Spud off the ground.

My vision is to lead the fast food industry forward towards proactively catering to diet needs.

Loaded Spud will be starting off first as mobile custom built kitchen trading in Auckland around workplaces & events. But I’m not going to stop there.

For me to finish off this project I need help to purchase the environmentally friendly kitchen equipment & appliances. If we can achieve this goal, I can get Loaded Spud on the road to serve you your delicious nutritious SAFE food from August 2015 onwards!

This is what you will help me build and fit out.

Please help me make much needed changes to the food & beverage retail industry. I will do everything in my power to lead the industry forward in the future by being an example to others, employing staff who understand diet needs, and by listening to my customers needs.

+ The rewards for pledging to this project are pretty cool!

Thanks in advance
