About

Clean Getaway

Project 2014-10-15 21:45:20 +1300

The Film

Clean Getaway is a short film about a opportunistic small time thief falling into way more than he can handle when he pounces on an opportunity and tries to steal a car.  He finds himself stuck and must find his way out of his predicament without getting caught.  Yes that's pretty vague, but we don't want to spoil the story!

The film is being made primarily for entry into the Tropfest Short Film Festival in February but will subsequently be submitted to festivals all around the world!

The Team

Writer/Director

Graeme Bibby has been involved with the film biz for many years now doing pretty much everything there is to do on and off a set.  On top of projects like this, teaching film making at the Yoobee School of Design, he's also studying for his Masters degree in Screen Directing.

If he could be any kind of thief he'd be an international art thief named Le Hérisson.

Producer

Puteri Raja Ariff is quite new to the filmmaking game, but is determined to become the Producer everyone needs her to be. Aside from pursuing her Master's Degree in Creative Producing, she also works as a Production Assistant at Cirkus, an animation production house.

If she were to be any kind of thief, it is likely she would be a wannabe cat burglar named The Shadow.

This Campaign

We have already organised most of what we need to make this movie.  All of the equipment, locations, and people power has been sorted out.

This is a micro budget short film and almost everything is being paid for in favours or charming smiles.  There may or may not have been instances of batted eyelashes.  This is not a film that needs epic sets with thousands of extras.  It's a small (dare we say 'intimate') film set in a city.  However some things do just need to be paid for.

The money will be used for:

  • Wardrobe
  • Set dressing and props
  • Special effects make-up
  • Food for the cast and crew
  • And of course the rewards for all of you, our wonderful backers

Any money raised over and above our goal will go straight into the film to make it even better!

The Rewards

All listed to the right! What's more...

On top of all that, anything that can be signed will be signed if you are that way inclined.  Who knows, when everyone involved is dominating Hollywood in a few years those autographs may be worth something (other than the significant sentimental value that they'll already possess...).

International Pledges

This is all going down in Auckland, New Zealand, which is somewhere in the realms of a bajillion miles from practically everywhere and therefore makes shipping quite expensive.  So if you are from out of town and want to pledge at one of the physical reward tiers, it'd be super fantastic if you could add another $10 for shipping.

Thank You

Yes, thank you.  For taking the time to have a look at this campaign, and super-triple thank you if you've decided to contribute or even just share this page with people you know (or people you don't know!).

With your help we can not only make this film, but make it amazing!
