About

The Last Stop - Short Film

Project 2012-03-25 22:17:03 +1300

Fundraising

We're raising money to help cover some the costs of production, post-production and theatrical premiere of our short film, 'The Last Stop', which has been entered into Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender's Your Film Festival.

$1200 goes towards covering the costs of locations, trains, props and post-production, including film grading and ADR done on our actors, giving us the ability to showcase some of New Zealand's independent film industry to the world and continue to develop and create original short and feature length independent films.

A further $500 helps cover the cost of the theatrical premiere venue, Auckland's Academy Cinemas.

Any amount over the pledge target allows us to push our short film into more film festivals.

The film

'The Last Stop' is set in early 1950s New Zealand.

Robbie hops on the steam train; he has someone special to see, so how can it be anything but the best day ever..

Cast: Louis James, Vanessa Riddell (In My Father’s Den), Mathew Chamberlain (In My Father’s Den, Shortland Street), Sarah James (The Insatiable Moon), Dwayne Cameron (The Locals).

Screening

Screening for will be held on Sunday, 29th April 2012 at 8:30pm at Academy Cinemas in Auckland City. We'll be holding a fundraising event with light refreshments and snacks (the bar will also be open), entertainment, a new music video from Alastair Riddell, and the main event - the premiere of our short film 'The Last Stop'.

Already attending are many actors, directors and film makers from the New Zealand's independent film and television industry, both professionals and those just starting out. Almost one hundred tickets are already spoken for, and we would like to fill all 220 seats to make this an even more exciting event.

Special thanks

None of this would be possible without such a wonderful group of talented people. We want to thank everyone who has dedicated their time to 'The Last Stop' by making it the best it can be. We believe in our short film, filled with beautiful imagery, and a story that will capture your heart.

We're so grateful of your support. Every contribution, however seemingly small, makes a huge difference.
