Film Description
Making things happen locally: On Sunday August the 18th a film is to be made at Friedas Bar in Grey Lynn, on the corner of Hakanoa and Richmond. Having assembled a stellar cast of some of the best actors in the country, we are looking for people to contribute in any shape or form.
A group of actors turn up at a bar to read a film script about the “floating gold” known as Ambergris. All does not go according to plan.
Last year I shifted back to Auckland after 17 years living outside of Taipa in the Far North. An old friend Anna said “it’s great you’re back ….you can help make things happen.” Well she’s not around anymore …but now I’m in a position to make things happen. I like to think we are a wittier bunch than presently portrayed on screen.
So far in my job as a caregiver, I have saved enough money to pay actors $50 each. I would like to pay them a little more. There’s 12 of them. The aim is to shoot most of a feature in 1 day in a Grey Lynn bar called Friedas, on August 18th.
A very experienced cast and crew have been assembled. Including: Greg Johnson, Rob Mokaraka, Mark Clare, Judy McIntosh, Liesha Ward- Knox, Stephen Ure , Arlo Gibson, Mike Howie and Peter Tait . Cameras to be operated by Jeff Smith and Grant La Hood; Art director is Grant Major; Music to include tracks by Chris Knox and Headless Chickens.

Funding goal:
Raising funds to recompense actors and crew.Pay for production costs.
About the Producer/Director:
Peter Tait hails from Dunedin, presently resides in Auckland . He can be seen either on Super City on Friday nights or walking around Grey Lynn with Chris Knox in his capacity as a caregiver. Comes from a wide and wonderful background of being an actor for over 30 years …from being dragged out of a Kitchen Sink ….to screaming “The scumbag tried to knife me” in Return of the King .

Thank-you

Hey Everyone
Thank you so much for all your support.
This is our final 12 hours and we are so close to our goal.
So to everyone who has already supported us another big
thanks - but you can still help us by spreading the word to friends and family.
We start shooting in less than an hour so we will be busy all day - we are
super excited and can't wait to get into it.
See you on the other side, and remember we still need a few more supporters.
WE CAN DO THIS

Hi Everyone,
We had had a change of some of our cast members.
We are excited to bring Willy de Wit to our cast - He will bring a great new personality to our cast.
and unfortunately we have lost John Leigh and Nicola Kanawa - due to other unavoidable commitments.
Thank you everyone for your support so far - We are really pleased with how much support we have already had.
