Help over 70 youth with just one Pledge!!! Tenei Te Korowai e whakamihi ana!!
This is a group of young Maori traditional canoe paddlers known as Te Korowai. In 2012 we combined 3 different waka/canoes, Mai Pewhairangi, Te Kapotai, and Kahakura, in order to learn together, train together, and share our culture with the nation and the world.
We have been invited to compete and perform in Rotorua, New Zealand this November 2013 by Te Arawa, the local tribe, and we are fundraising HARD to get 100 of us there 6hours away by bus for 3 days!! Many of our kids have never had a life experience like this, so its a huge opportunity and we need your support!
Please help our youth to proudly show their culture and be rewarded for their hard work. Check out our crowd-funding campaign and give your support while sharing our story!
Nga Mihi, Greetings from Te Korowai!
